Picnic’s Retail Shoppe

While Picnic is primarily a catering business, the retail shoppe is open to the public 11 to 5 weekdays. The New York Times wrote up the shoppe and said “you can order from Picnic every day and never be bored.” How is that possible? Well, the menu changes each and every day based on what ingredients look best, the mood of the chef, the weather, and of course, customer requests.

New England Lobster rolls, made fresh every Friday during the season, are a popular favorite. We do recommend, however, that they be ordered on Thursday since they sell out so quickly. Other favorites include our pecan crusted chicken breasts, our melt-in-your-mouth filet mignon sandwiches and cheesesteaks, and our custom salads, all based on the freshest produce we can find.

The winner of New Jersey Monthly’s Readers’ Choice Award for best take-out in Northern New Jersey, Picnic also provides custom picnic baskets, a large selection of hard-to-acquire cheeses, and gourmet specialty foods. Custom dinners for one to six guests are available with 48-hour notice.

Our friendly staff offers delivery service, weekly trivia games (with discounts), and a great fresh lunch at a good value.
